Dear Friends and Customers:
In regard to our closing of our Fresh Pond location on April 14:
We had an employee in the Fawcett Street location who has a relative that tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. He found this out while he was at work in our location. He does not live with the person, but he briefly saw her a few nights before when she did not have symptoms. This employee has not tested positive, works internally and has no contact with customers. Nevertheless, this employee is getting tested and has been placed on leave until he is cleared by medical professionals. Also know that we do not have customers coming into our locations due to the current health concerns, and are only doing order-ahead/pick-up in our doorway, along with curbside and home delivery.
Out of an abundance of caution and for the protection of our customers and staff we decided to shut down the Fresh Pond location for the afternoon to do a full deep clean throughout the facility. We hired a specialized COVID-19 sanitization and disinfection service that uses a patented EPA approved process that destroys COVID-19 with a 99.9% effective rate in under 4 minutes.
Things are now fully disinfected and we will be back in action today. Thanks for your concerns. We look forward to serving you in the safest way possible.
