The Rasta Review: June Edition

You know what time it is!

May is moving right along with lots of great memories. I had the pleasure of visiting Amsterdam where I got the opportunity to visit the museum of Hash, Marijuana, and Hemp. This museum showcases the evolution of the plant through different periods in history. While in Amsterdam, I also was able to experience the famous coffee shop scene. Then there was my trip to Jamaica with the winner of our Jamaica trip giveaway. I met some great people on this trip the quickly became great friends.

But now I am back with a brand-new summer review, and my choices are varied. I would like to start with the sativas – Rev Farm Mimosa, Dionysus, Lilac Diesel, and Clemenberry. Those are the movers and shakers, my get up and go.

For hybrids, I have been getting to know the White Wedding Haze, which is a well-balanced and very smooth smoke. One strain the I was perplexed about was the Yellow Cab but after a session with it, I COMPLETELY understood: the Yellow Cab took me on a mental, physical, and emotional trip, that began gently and blossomed into a full bloom with a feeling of connection to everything.

My indica choices begin with Simply Herb’s GMO Sour Dubb, where sedation is the result, along with heavy eyes. The Chocolatina from Nature’s Heritage, I found to be very effective the helping to relieve chronic pain and insomnia. The In House flower was also quite good from Ice Cream Cake to the Rum Cake, which to me are the “done with your day” strains: relaxing, heavy body, unfocused mind, and lowering of my shoulders.

I would like to touch briefly on the pre-rolls, with Ace Weidman’s making a statement by lowering the price of some of their 0.5g and 1g pre-rolls on the menu, to help customers and patients find the right price point for their wallets. I have been enjoying the Egg Roll from Neighborhoods, the Super boof from Cheech and Chong brands and the Banorange from Simply Herb brand. The Vermont Log from Special Stash has me loving the flower and effects.

The high-testing Tiger Gold bar still reigns as heavy weight champion for edibles under the i am edible brand. Enjoy this one with caution. May we enjoy June to the fullest.
